Inside Children’s Publishing, Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the City Library (210 East, 400 South) in Salt Lake City, Utah. 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Speakers include editor Jill Dembowski from Little, Brown and Company, agent Ted Malawer from Firebrand Literary, and art designer Victoria Jamieson from Greenwillow (a HarperCollins imprint). Cost is $85 for SCBWI members, $100 for nonmembers. One-on-one critiques (of 10 manuscript pages) and portfolio critiques will be available for an additional $35 ($45 for non-members).
